RECANATI
Recanati 300 m s. l. m. between the valleys of the
rivers and power roller, in the middle of the Marche Region 10 minutes from
the coast, Porto Recanati and 45 minutes from the Sibillini Mountains
National Park.
Like other towns of the Marches, Recanati also has a wonderful panoramic.
To the east opens on the Adriatic Sea, beyond which on clear days can
glimpse the coast of former Yugoslavia. In the Northeast you can see the
Mount Conero, the promontory of the middle Adriaticoe most important one
that has the highest sea cliffs in the Adriatic Italian. From the other side
of town you can see the peaks of the Apennines: the peaks of Monti
Sibillini, Gran Sasso, Majella and Mounte Vettore, and more are visible on
Mount San Vicino, the Witch and the Catria.

Beniamino Gigli was born in Recanati March 20, 1890
